Revealing my Eichler home interiors, as I had promised in my last post.
It took me a while to give the finishing touches to this house as my shipment arrived very late from Asia.
I bought all the furniture locally in the Bay Area from different boutique shops. Keeping in the mind the mid century look of this home, I decided to go with mid tone natural wood furniture, which has a mid century feel yet very modern.

There were lot of challenges in deciding on placement of the furniture as the house has more of glass walls then brick wall. But I feel I have done full justice to this house by not blocking any glass walls. Also blending Indian Asian artefacts, paintings (which are my treasures) were quite a challenge to blend into the house.

Hey everyone, I am back after a long pause, that’s because I was in transition from Singapore to one of my absolute favourite city San Francisco.

I am excited to share my mid century house with everyone. This is a unique architecture style home called Eichlers,named after the famous architect Joseph Eichler. He designed around 11,000 such homes across California, and I am lucky to have found one.

This house has everything, that I have imagined for my ideal home - big glass walls all around, plenty of sun light across the house, a courtyard and backyard with fruits trees, birds chirping, squirrels playing around the backyard, humming birds flying around. It has a modern as well as an old world charm. The indoors and outdoors blurs - there is no sense of separation with nature when inside the home.

Curves replace straight lines.

Curves and smooth edges provide comfort at home. Straight line furniture trend lasted for a long time, but now the trend is changing and straight lines are being replaced with Puffy sofas and comfy curve chairs, as well as circular furniture, arches, circular mirrors & artworks are re-defining the trend in 2021.

We are global citizens, we have all travel across the globe, our taste for fashion and interiors are evolving day by day. Global influence is a major trend this year and it is going to stay.
