A home is a home, and it should be built to last. Unfortunately there are builders out there that just don’t think that way and just want to take your money and go. Me, I’m about making sure people are happy and they don’t have future issues. Worked on a modular home this week and all the issues that were fixed were due to poor craftsmanship to start. This was two bathrooms with the same issue, all die to poor craftsmanship that lead to a slow leak, which casused some mold. Luckily the customer s**t dowm the showers and tub use a year ago. No new mold growth, just stained the paper of the sheetrock. Treated the back side of the panels, sealed in the plumbing openings at the base, removed and replaced completely damaged upper portion of the wall, sealed everything all in, and added support clips for pex (which is what caused the leaks). Im not a pex fan, prefer copper, but If you are going to use pex, remember to use the clips to secure the limes in place, because if not they will move and leaks will arise. Now there won’t be any issues and the customer is very happy.
