I'm in the shop today prepping boards for a project. The last two days were spent filling cracks and knot-holes with marine epoxy. so today I ran them back through the Woodmaster planer to remove the excess epoxy. Now they are back up in my finishing room to work on the flip side of these boards. It's a process, but one I enjoy. Here is the way one of them went in and came out, plus an in progress video. 🤗🤗😁
In an effort to multitask I'm also smoking a couple porkbutts for a potluck after church tomorrow. They were looking great right before I wrapped them for the last two hours or so.of the cook.😋

Since we were already heading into San Antonio for an appointment today when this glass dome showed up on Marketplace yesterday I thought maybe we could add it our travel plans. Thanks to a great seller on Marketplace we were able to get it added as our first stop. We picked up the dome off Walzem rd and continued our rounds. I'm not 100% sure what I'll use it for yet but this would make a great display for a custom mesquite stand for something like this Kilgore International medical specimen.
Any ideas?

A rare ERD–Globus by Wagner & Debes in Leipzig, Germany. That would put the manufacture date of this globe in 1921-1922. The condition of this globe is excellent in fact I would say it is near mint condition.

Worked on the engine swap for the sawmill today. first removing the belt shrouds. Then disconnecting and tagging all the wiring and finally lifting the old Onan engine off. now some scrapping and cleaning is in order before we set the new 26hp Honda efi engine in place. Hopefully we are back up and running soon.🙏🤞🤙

My favorite wife mentioned she would like a small table just inside the laundry room to use as a drop zone of sorts. so being a great husband I retrieved this cast iron warehouse desk I picked up last year at an auction.😁
I did remove two additional tops that had been installed over the years to reveal the original top. two inches thick with a double tougue and groove joint between the boards!!🤩 The tin drawers are an extra bonus. I think this will do the trick for time being.
Of course this table is avalible if some one is interested. I can always find another table for Sue!! 😉😂🤣

I had a visitor in the shop today. These ringtails like the space between the cargo bow and roof. it was curious and hung out for a while watching me. 😉😂
