On January 6, 2021, Carlos M Iruegas was called home. He was the son of Time Dollar’s co-founder Guadalupe Iruegas. He was a good man who was quick to help Time Dollar in whatever physical work needed to be done. He made several donations for our yearly garage sales and made it possible for us to receive a large donation of desks, chairs, and metal cabinets. He and his wife Christine made sure to bring Mrs. Iruegas to Time Dollar to celebrate her birthday when she could no longer drive. He will be greatly missed. May He Rest In Peace!

On Monday, we were blessed to receive a donation of turkeys, sides, and pumpkin pie to share with our Time Dollar community. Thanks to Les Dames d’Escoffier International-San Antonio for their generosity and making it possible to help set the table with an abundance of food. The Dames worked hard putting the food together to be ready to serve the bags and turkey. Behind the scenes I want to thank Lisa Wong, Ana Martinez, Susan Johnson, and Marty Gonzalez. Serving at Time Dollar were Di-Anna Arias, Linda Triesch, Kathleen Mayes, Christa Sauers, and Linda’s sister Frances Harrell. In total, we served 84 families and 60 of them received turkeys Time Dollar is so grateful to Les Dames for setting the Thanksgiving table for the families on the Westside.

I just got a call from a senior waiting to receive his SNAP (food stamp) replacement card. Due to postal service delays, people have to wait to receive relief for their basic need of food. Please call your representatives to restore service. He was offered food from our Time Dollar Community Table.
Food Pantry open Monday, 8-31, 9:30-11:45am.

People all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection and strengthen communities at the grassroots level. Time Dollar is a grassroots organization started by caring residents of the Westside 20 years ago that wanted to make changes in their neighbor. Today, we continue working our current Mission: Build Community by Providing for Basic Needs in Ways that Can Lead to Life Changing Experiences. Help us fight hunger during these uncertain times of COVID-19 by going to our website at www.satimedollar.org

Thank You for Feeding Hope!
San Antonio Junior Forum
Time Dollar is grateful to the San Antonio Junior Forum for their 2019-2020 grant to pay cost sharing fees to the San Antonio Food Bank. Their grant has made it possible for us to pay food supplies for almost four months.
Time Dollar relies on volunteers, grants, in-kind and financial donations to provide food to those that access our Time Dollar Community Table food pantry.
