The Firth Woodshop

The Firth Woodshop Small wood projects, crafts, customized items. A few years ago, my wife asked if I could build her a headboard. I figured I'd try. The another one.

We had some old barn wood and we just tried a few things and ended up with something kinda fun. From there, we tried a few things, but never anything serious. Skip ahead to last year when someone in a local crafting group my wife belonged to asked if someone could build a framed picture of birds. Then a different project. Then a lot of different projects. As you can see, it's gotten a bit bigger of a hobby than I was thinking it would be.

Hi.

It’s been awhile.

Trying to throw my sawdust back into production. Gauging interest in making planters.

They’d be about 8’ long. Priced at about $125-$150. Unfinished.

I borrowed the pictures and potential plans from Shanty-2-Chic’s website.

Figured an update might be worth while.

I’m back to a few, small projects now that we’re in a bit more of a permanent location that allows me to build things. Here’s the Firth Woodshed.

I was asked to raise a mini fridge so there wouldn’t be as much bending down.

Plus, there was a noodle board.

I wanted to wait until everything is finished up. I’m delivering my last project on Saturday.

I just wanted to thank each of you for supporting me in this adventure. It’s time to close things down for now.

If you want to keep in touch, I’ve got a few other things up and going. I’ll put links in the comments below.

I have a group that focuses on acts of kindness. It’s fun to offset the negativity that is so prevalent

The other one is about my cards and how I’ve been using them to connect.

Hi there. Here’s a couple of updates.

Finished up a table and bench. They wanted it to match the mantle of their new home.

I’ve got a bit of news though. I’ve been asked to put the woodshop on hold while we’re in our current living location once I finish up my two remaining projects after this. It’s actually a good thing. We’ve got a few ideas of different directions to follow. I probably will post a few more times as I’m finishing up. I can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve given me. I sincerely appreciate it. It’s been fun and I hope to continue wood working soon.

If you’d like, you’re more than welcome to check out my other page for the time being. It centered on acts of kindness to highlight the good in the world.

Here’s a link if you’d like.
