Our founding partner, Dixie McCann, passed away on May 13, 2022. We have missed her since her retirement and her loss is deeply felt.

Dixie Ann McCann was born November 30, 1939 in Logan, Utah, the oldest daughter of Robert Fishburn and Fae Reese McCann. She grew up in Logan and attended Logan City schools and Utah State University, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Education. Dixie was an outstanding student with a keen intellect and was an award winning debater.
Dixie always loved being surrounded by beautiful things, which led her to a career as an interior designer, owning McCann Interior Concepts with her younger brother, Bob, for 40+ years. She knew the rewards of hard work and in her off hours was always found tending to her lovely garden, painting for herself or family, keeping an immaculate home, or cooking creative and delicious meals.
In 1994 Dixie moved into a larger home to accommodate her daughter, Mary, and her three children. She said that this was the best time of her life, being able to help raise and interact with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandkids were considered her greatest reward.
Dixie is survived by her three children, Mary Morris (David), Matthew Burnett, and Kirk Burnett (Holly), 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister, Linda Smith, brother Robert (Marian) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Ellis James Burnett, her ex-husband, her parents, and two nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Crescent Hospice. We couldn’t have done this without you.
