Home.

It’s easy for me to get lost in trying to create picture-perfect decor and idea of maintaining visual perfection, (I fall far, far short of this..) and forget that building a home and a life is about a safe place to land for peace, and mom talks, and sharing your stress, and unloading your fears and worries and about working through the heavy stuff of becoming an adult.

Once in a while I’m reminded that that’s what really important. It’s not about the perfect shade of green. (SW Filmy Green), it’s not about coordinating bedding or finding the perfect throw rug.

This week in our lives brings a busy summer semester.
Jobs.
Boyfriends.
Life.

All that stuff is waiting just around the corner.

But for now, we’re slowing down for a minute.

Lazy? Maybe.

Essential? Definitely.

Walking down my stairs yesterday morning. My calf muscle decided it was a no-send and snapped like a rubber band. Fun times 🙄 thankfully it’s just a strain and not a tear.
