A friend of mine, Aaron Edmound Tonry with Element Tree Care, delivered this huge Camphor trunk to our driveway in Saint Petersburg. We are going to work together to craft some long lasting pieces of furniture. We are still stirring up some ideas. The sky is the limit. 66” at widest point! Should make some extremely beautiful round tables!! Thank you Aaron for saving these amazing pieces!

In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I learned a lot. Like how many awesome people live nearby and that a 16 inch Ryobi chainsaw wasn’t going to cut it. Lol!! I discovered Guanacaste trees during this time. This is considered exotic wood and there are more of these trees in our neighborhood than I would have ever expected. This is the tree of Costa Rica, a beautiful canopy, shade tree. Three of these mystical giants were laying down in Diston Heights. The third one I discovered allowed me plenty of really cool looking pieces to work with. Before this, I was buying exotic wood from lumberyards. All of the homeowners were really cool people and welcomed me to take as much as I wanted. I am very thankful for this. I still have a lot of this wood left over, mostly bowl material, that is dry and ready to find a new home. Here is a live edge Guanacaste table at bar height that I delivered to one of these awesome homeowners. Thank you Rick and Kristin!!

I just love turning a tree that was destined to the dump yard into usable pieces of lumber. If you or someone you know, would like to turn a tree into slabs where the possibilities are almost endless, message me, and I will be happy to help. I have a 36” cutting width capacity, and can handle logs up to about 11 feet long. This is a portable sawmill and I can come to you.

Side table made with Guanacaste and Jacaranda! This beautiful wood from fallen trees is looking for a new home. 21” tall. Table top is almost 2 feet wide at longest point and 20 inches at shortest point. Heavy and sturdy. Cracks filled with clear epoxy. Sold.
