According to reports, Costco is raising its pay to over $30 an hour for hundreds of thousands of employees, with top-scale clerks expected to earn nearly $32 an hour starting in March.

“Our hourly wages and benefits will continue to significantly outpace others in the retail industry,” said Ron Vachris, Costco’s president and CEO, in a memo to employees on Tuesday.
