Native Teaching Aids believes in the vital importance of maintaining and revitalizing Indigenous culture, language, and history for communities everywhere. Native Teaching Aids develops, designs, and creates educational and entertaining materials with a focus on indigenous language, culture and history. Our products are a

resource for tribes, schools, students, and families. As architects of our own industry, our products are unique, offered from an Indigenous perspective, and tribally approved. Through inspiration and education, we aim to bolster Indigenous pride, help communities in their efforts to revitalize endangered languages, and dispel stereotypes embedded in non-indigenous culture for over a century. Native Teaching Aids is committed to collaborating with tribal leaders and staff members to create products that are accurate, high quality, educational and fun!

Intellectual Property Rights Statement

At Native Teaching Aids, we honor Data Sovereignty by ensuring that the tribes we serve retain full intellectual property rights over all materials created for their communities. Each tribe decides how their products are distributed, maintaining complete control over their cultural and linguistic resources.

Our products are custom-designed to meet each community’s unique needs. Whether communities prefer a hands-on or hands-off approach, we work closely with them to develop materials that reflect their language, culture, and traditions. While we specialize in creating community-specific language curricula, we also offer pre-made templates that can be translated into any Indigenous language.

We customize every detail—including plants, animals, foods, place names, and cultural items—to ensure authenticity. Many communities provide their own artwork, but our graphic designers also maintain a library of stock images for use as needed. Additionally, all audio in our products is recorded by native speakers, with communities either providing their own recordings or utilizing our professional recording and editing services for language documentation.

We believe in transparency and accessibility—our customers always have access to the databases we use to organize their language, images, and audio, and they have the final say on all content included in their products.
