My 8th child turned 9 today. 🎉
I learned something from my 9 yr old.
One thing is certain with him, He always makes sure to bring the fun.
He planned his day before the party that someone needed to take him to canes and the arcade.
After that he wanted a swim party which is also where we crafted some challenges like wearing a whip cream mustache!!
It was everything he wanted and he made sure that it was going to be!!
When we get older, many times we wait for someone to celebrate us. Did our spouse think of us on our birthday?
Did anyone call to wish me a happy birthday?
Am I forgotten?
My little 9 yr old made sure he was going to have the best birthday. He made it happen. And he had a blast.
Life is to be celebrated.
You are so incredible and so unique and such a valuable asset to this world. You are important enough to celebrate YOU.
How about this year, take a lesson from my son, plan your party, plan your gifts, and have a blast.

Hey y’all, I’m sad to say that my jeep caught fire while my husband was driving it yesterday.
He saw sparks on the floor board at it was up in flames within 40 seconds.
The guy across the street came running with a fire extinguisher but the blaze was so huge it did not help.
The firefighters got there and it took 3 trucks almost an hour to get the jeep to stop burning.
I am so thankful no one was hurt. My kids were not in the vehicle thank the Lord.
I’ve had this jeep about 3 years. It was my dream vehicle that I needed to push back since I wanted a huge family more than a jeep. But when my mom passed away I was able to purchase this one in cash and spent much of my first months reminiscing of her while driving with the top off and singing her favorite songs at the top of my lungs.
Funny thing is this week is the anniversary of her death and it’s just so somber how timing is.
I don’t think I’ll be able to get another jeep as we have to make decisions best for the family but I just wanted to write and say thanks to my mom for making this dream of mine come true.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
One of my favorite things is to take a pic of the kids in birth order!! (Enjoy the pic below, we are missing 2 today and we gained a son when Sydney got married this year!)
There’s something about seeing them in the order that they came into my life that feels more and more amazing as my eyes pan the line of them.
I remember having each one of them and how they were so celebrated at their birth, how they were accepted into their siblings hearts at first glance, and how our lives were forever changed as a family when we brought them home from the hospital. They have been cherished since conception.
I’ve always been able to see the beauty in every age of their existence and I am looking forward to being on the sidelines cheering them on as they continue to run their race of life.
I have the best seat in all of eternity as I hold the place no other person can hold, the place of mom.
What an honor it is.
You know the Lord feels the same of you? You have been cherished since before you were born, you are accepted into the family of God when u come to Him, and you have been given the greatest coach ever as He is there with you in good times and bad, He is rooting for you always.
Happy Mothers Day to each of you, may you truly realize how special and irreplaceable you are.

This one was more than just a furniture project… it was a full transformation.

My client wanted everything to flow from room to room — not just one piece looking good, but the entire space feeling intentional, clean, and updated.

So we took what they already had and completely reimagined it.

Same furniture.
Completely different feel.

That’s what I love about this — you don’t always need to replace everything to get a high-end look. Sometimes you just need the right vision and the right finish.

Sometimes after you’ve been married to someone for a long time, you can start to see their faults and mistakes more clearly than their good attributes.
I used to wonder how people who were married for decades could divorce. I understand now that it’s because they aren’t able to work through their problems.
If a wife doesn’t feel heard or seen, 25 years of that will take its toll. If a husband continues to feel rejected, 25 years of that takes its toll. And honestly the fault finding just becomes so easy.
I am learning that arguments are not about proving my point, not even about changing his behavior, and definitely not about winning—not in marriage. For you to win, the other has to lose. That is not the mindset of a team.
What if in your next argument what if we gave up ground instead of stand our ground? What if we said “I’m sorry for acting like that” instead of “well you did it first”.
Let’s be like Christ, He saw Himself on the same team as the sheep. He did not fight WITH the sheep, He fought FOR the sheep.
If you’ve got a lot of fight in you and you’re feisty and full of emotion, let’s use it to fight FOR your marriage. Hit the problem not the spouse!! Haha.
