Time is a slippery slope. As careful as we are, it can get away from us really fast. May of 1991, I started working here as a summer job. Thirty five years later, I’m still here (it’s been a long summer). Maybe that answers the question of why I wear shorts everyday? May 18th marks two years since dad called me and said he wouldn’t be at work that day. Fast forward less than four hours later and he was dead. Our close family friend David Hart would often call and check on us. After dad passed, David called several times a week. Until he got too sick. May 15th marks one year since David passed. I realize this is sounding like an odd post. Anyway, thank you all for your continued support and if you are in the neighborhood, stop by and share a BILL story with me. You might even find a piece of furniture that you would like to call your own. After 46 years in business, many of the relationships have moved beyond from just being about furniture. Thank you Matt

A couple of upcoming changes in our hours of operation. The store will be closed Thursday 4/2 for a family funeral. Also, Wednesday 4/8 so that I can attend an Amish furniture show in Ohio. Thanks for your understanding and continued support. Matt

Thanks to our friends at Bear Wood Company for making this in honor of the store’s upcoming anniversary of opening day. I removed a room divider that dad installed 46 years ago and was able to salvage several boards. When I ask the BWC team to help preserve a bit of our history, they knew just what to do.
