I got all the joinery cut for the room divider and a good start on final assembly. I decided to stain as I go because this piece is so heavy it will be difficult to do afterwards. I also glued up some more chair parts. I need to glue up one more pair of back legs and then I’ll get everything assembled. Penny continues to stay at the house. She plays hard all day chasing the other cat and playing with toys, but when I come to the house she’s ready to pass out.

Super hot day in the shop! I was able to get quite a bit accomplished today. I got all seven front chair frames completed. These are going to be beautiful chairs. Made from cherry. All the wood is from the same tree. These will be tall chairs as the table will sit 36” high. Next I’ll start assembling the backs and the add the fronts. I believe I’m going to go ahead and glue up the walnut seat blanks and start putting them on the CNC so that when I’m done with the frames the seats will be ready. I also got the panels for this room divider cut to size and sanded. I’ve kind of dry fit everything to get an order of operations for the glue up. Everything has to line up perfectly and then the ends have to fit tightly. Should be fun.

The past few days have been all about gluing up wood for chair frames and panels for a double sided room divider I’m working on. Tomorrow I’ll start assembling the chair frames and putting panels together on the room divider. I also worked on a few airplanes. Should finish them tomorrow too. No Penny pictures today. She’s taking it easy in the house.

Well I tried something new today. Butter spreaders. They came out pretty good for the first time. I’m going to make some more. These are walnut, maple, and cherry. Which style is your favorite. Penny has been in the house the past couple of days. Hopefully she will come back to the shop soon.

I’m finally getting started cutting the chair parts for the walnut table. I’ve been gluing up pieces and rough cutting them for a few weeks. Now I have enough to start milling them to their final dimensions. This will take a few days but soon I’ll be ready to assemble the seven frames. Guess who got a bath today. Penny was not happy about it at all!

Well I made some jackolanterns today. These are made from cedar and come with the light. I’d like to hear which one is your favorite. Some of them will still get colored. I’ll let Jace handle that next time he’s in the shop. Penny voted for number 7.

Not a lot of time in the shop today but I did manage to cut some herb st*****rs and small cars. I also cut some more cherry chair parts for the walnut table build. I’ll soon be assembling seven more chairs. And Penny took it easy today too. Every time I looked at her she was sleeping.
