I've been agonizing over this for a few months now. I have decided to retire and cease operations as Three Gryphons. I would like to say how much I enjoyed the last 22 yrs. The commissions I have had, the people I have worked with and for. Thank you to those that believed in me and helped me along the way. I am not sure what is next for me, but I am confident that whatever it is, it will be creative, and the support and kindness of those around me, and those yet unmet, will be instrumental.

here is a close up of the actual sample door. Walnut background, East Indian Rosewood body and legs, Figured Mango wood for the wings. Gotta say, even I am impressed at the accuracy of the inlay work. Soild wood 3/32" Thick

Currently working on a Tudor style kitchen for a residence. Made the flat panel doors a couple weeks ago, finally getting started on the tracery work. White oak for everything. The flat panels are veneered MDF.

A bit of a challenge this was. Thought to steam bend it, and was unsuccessful after multiple attempts. Drawing and redrawing the detail to get it exact was more difficult than I imagined. Perhaps I am getting "rusty" in my old age. Anyway, finally got it right. A little fussing to do when the clamps come off...

More on the current project. This was a very physical day. Hauling around 14' lengths of poplar. 2 Ibuprofen when I got home. Well FB sucks. Trying to add more photos.....button does not work :( Anyway, all parts are in clamps. Tomorrow will begin face gluing slabs and machining.

Starting a large project today. Need 12 blanks to CNC machine 21" L x 15.5" W x 4" T. We begin with about 220 bd ft of 12/4 and 6/4 poplar and rough cut to length

Making ogee bonnet top crown molding. 3"x3". 2" radius corners. 16/4 Tiger Maple.

With 20 pcs. Of this molding to make, I was dreading the expense and hassle of using my usual method of double sided duct tape to hold things in place. It was then I recalled the lowly wooden turnlatch from my early cabinet making days....
