We attended this last year and plan on doing it again. Awesome venue, wonderful people and a great place to teach people about history.

Calling all reenactors and craft vendors: for Fall Festival in September only, we are looking for YOU! Our reenactors are buckskinners through the Civil War. We would like to have you join us in September.. Our reenactors will be provided lunch both days, a dinner on Saturday night and Breakfast Sunday morning. We have not had a Native American group for several years and would like to find a group to join us. If you know a group that should help celebrate 200 years at the Broadwell Inn and Tavern please tell them to contact us!

For vendors, we ask that the items you have for sale are hand made. We are not allowing resale items.

Please share with your friends, fellow reenactors and historic groups.

Last weekend we had the honor to attend Clayville Fall Festival and join in with the 1st Texas Artillery. We had a lot of fun educating the public about cannons along with some of the product brands available during the civil war that are still available today.

We’d like to thank the Clayville Historic Site for being so welcoming from the beginning to the end. There was so much to see & do. The Broadwell Inn there celebrates its 200th year in 2024. Fall Festival is scheduled for Sept 21 & 22. Mark your calendar now for this free event, like we have, so you don’t miss it!

Watch for our ad in the Illinois Times Fall Guide! We will having living history from 1800's thru the civil war. Tour the oldest brick building in Sangamon County. Walk on board the deck of a full size civil war ship with masts, wheel and a cannon. Our friends Batterton and Edward's from Arkansas will be providing music both days. Concessions and vendors will be available. Admission is free, donations are always welcome. See you September 16 & 17.... 9am to 4pm
