Well, it’s the end of an era. I am closing my business in New York. I won’t be doing any more refinishing for my many customers, but I want you to know that I appreciate everything the faith that you had in me to refinish your furniture well

I offer a full range of services for any wood related repair or construction
I have repaired many antique pieces and have a large supply of old wood for the authentic look
I can design furniture and work with you on your ideas references are available from my many customers
my parents Elmina & Bill Nemyier top adult education classes for furniture refinishing in the Rome New York schools for 15 years
also they taught refinishing in the basement of our home which was also my father's workshop eight or so many people would show up and work on their pieces it was very interesting to watch
learning the traits of woodworking and refinishing since I was about 10 years old the job and furniture refinishing and repair is a love for me it doesn't feel like work it's a joy to restore a nice piece of furniture and see the joy in peoples faces when they receive their piece refurbished and are happy with the work I am in Rome New York refinishing furniture for the last 43 years before that I lived in Rome & Floyd and westernville
I started my refinishing business in 1977 at the age of 17 with the help of my parents I got a couple of jobs through their customers and my reputation group from word-of-mouth
it usually takes between two and three weeks for your piece to be finished
plenty of room for large jobs
I have done in-home jobs such as refinishing stairways moldings and doors & kitchen cabinets

This is the kitchen that I built in our house in Westernville made of curly maple or tiger maple lots of cubbies different glass it was a blast to build and I enjoyed every day
