Our Covid project has been a little different than normal woodworking. We bought a 23' Fleetwood Prowler 5th wheel several months ago and have been renovating it. It is still a work in progress. I'll add pics shortly.

Worked on a very special project for a Christmas present. This is a piece of Black Walnut from my parents property that was cut about two years ago. My Mom mentioned back then that it looked like a heart and would make a great fruit bowl. I never forgot that and finished the bowl as a Christmas gift for them this year. The bowl portion was hand carved with several PFEIL Swiss made carving gouges and the sap wood was sanded to 800 grit before the Natural Danish Oil finish was applied.

I was pleased with the way it turned out and they love it! Let me know what you think.

I don't normally post personal thoughts on here, but this has been weighing heavily on me the past couple weeks.

22 Vets commit su***de every day and this hit home in October 2015 when my nephew who was a Marine took his own life leaving behind a family that loved him dearly along with a beautiful 4yr old daughter who will never know what a great guy he was and how much he loved her. If you know a vet old or young reach out to them and let them know you appreciate the sacrifice they made and that they are loved.

Was in the Mountains of NC this past week and discovered an amazing artist and woodworker. His work was on display at the Hubert Shuptrine Gallery in Highlands, NC. Amazing work!
