Stephanie is the co-owner and principal Human Resources and Health and Welfare consultant at Simply Benefits, LLC which specializes in human resources, health and welfare employee benefits, insurance, corporate consulting, business continuation, administrative and operations consulting. She has over 25 years of experience in the industry. This experience includes working from the insurance company side as well as the employer consulting side.
She worked in Chicago at an insurance company as a sales rep, selling medical, life and 401(k) plans to employer groups. She returned to Minnesota to work as a consultant to employer groups on all aspects of human resources, health and welfare employee benefits. While at two different international human resources consulting firms, Stephanie worked with very large clients such as First Bank (now USBank), Pillsbury, HealthPartners and the State of Minnesota. She later transitioned out of the very large employer group arena to work with small and mid-size clients. While applying the large employer perspective with small and mid-size employers, she still consults on health and welfare programs – medical, dental, life, disability, flex, COBRA, key person, business continuation, as well as human resources consulting. Her consulting experience includes sales and marketing, group underwriting, competitive bid analysis, account management, project management, on-site daily consulting, billing and claim reviews, human resources consulting, employee handbooks & policies, and hiring and firing. She currently focuses on group clients with under 200 employees.
Stephanie received her Business Major with a Finance Emphasis from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is currently active on the Board of Directors for Functional Industries, Inc. and is a past member of the Board of Directors for WeCAN, Inc. Stephanie is a member of the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters and the National Association of Health Underwriters. She was one of the founding partners of the networking group Business Partners. She is a member of BNI STAR Partners (a BNI International chapter), as well as a past member of two other BNI groups over the past several years and has held numerous responsibilities including President, Mentor Coordinator, Education Coordinator, Membership Committee Quality Assessment Chair, Quote Master and visitor host. She is the Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Twin Cities Sled Hockey Organization as well as an active volunteer. She is an active volunteer for the Delano Parents Boosters Board for Girls High School Lacrosse and previously for Boys High School Hockey and Boys High School Lacross & has held many different positions. She also volunteers at the Delano Schools and is a Faith Formation Teacher and lector at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Delano.
