June 2nd is Lou Gehrig Day.
In 2013, our dad and company president Steve Bell was diagnosed with ALS. The average life expectancy is two to five years. Steve lived more than a decade beyond that, working, mentoring, leading, and making lemonade out of every hard thing that came his way.
He raised thousands for ALS research: He did the ice bucket challenge, he walked, he fought, and he never stopped showing up for this store or this community.
Steve passed away in 2025, but his belief that people and community matter more than anything is still the reason Bell's exists the way it does.
This week, a portion of Bell's sales go to the Susan Mast ALS Foundation in his memory. Stop in, shop local, and help us keep fighting. ❤️
