After an incredible 9-month journey of transformation, the moment has finally arrived!!! This milestone marks the completion of the very first project in my new shop. When we chose our new home a year and a half ago, we also had to find the perfect shop for me. We eventually found and transformed the most unlikely commercial building, and just 5 minutes from home in a wonderful small town! The building had been neglected, a roof that had blown away years ago, black mold covering the interior walls and an overwhelming stench of dog urine that could be smelled from the street. Rainy days turned it into a literal indoor water park. Yet, through determination and hard work, we gutted the entire space and brought it back to life. There's still much to do before I will consider it fully complete, but with machinery in place, the creative momentum is building again. I'm grateful for the unwavering patience of my wife Allison, the tireless efforts of my 4 boys who provided invaluable labor, and our Amish roofer who ensured the shop is watertight!
