My clients and I discussed removing the scroll work on their 90s China hutch as we made a plan for refinishing, but we decided to leave it as a nod to the piece’s age and origin. But after reading several comments about it, I thought it would be good to see how it would look if I had removed the scroll work. So, I asked AI to show me. I still stand by our decision! I like the softness it gives to all of the straight lines elsewhere on the piece. We weren’t going for a super modern look, just a modernized one! 😉 Do you think we made the right decision?

A move to a new home with a different style called for an update to this Pennsylvania House hutch. Client wanted it to be a sort of bright spot among lots of dark cabinets and a newly refinished dark kitchen table. It went from a very farmhouse look to a more modern and serene focal point for my client to display her treasures! I think it turned out beautifully and can’t wait to see it back in its home!

My peonies are finally starting to bloom! I swear mine seem to be the last to bloom around here-I always see them at other homes happily in bloom while mine are still just buds! 🤷‍♀️ But, my patience usually pays off. It is just a great little storage piece for a bedroom, or anywhere, really! Measures 29.5” long, 14” deep and 43” tall. Price is $275. She’s not the highest quality. She’s pretty simple. She definitely shows signs of age. She’s basically a box on legs. But those legs have some amazing curves and that big open box allows for some great storage! I had her at my entry door for years. She went from white to blue and now to my favorite dark green. She’s available to hold all the things in a new entry, or to serve as a night stand, or coffee bar, or wherever her new owner needs her. Let me know if you might like to be her new owner! 💚
