American Slingbow Association The American Slingbow Association was founded by Perry & Kay Adkisson of www.APlusSlingshots.com to advance & promote Slingbow archery, hunting and fishing

While people have been shooting arrows from slingshots since the beginning, recent designs and serious experimental work by many individuals have really advanced their ability to perform up to legal archery hunting standards. We want to gather a community of shooters who are serious about Slingbows to share experiences, knowledge and camaraderie with other enthusiast as we promote this amazing and

fun arrow shooting technology. We want to hear about your use and adventures with slingbows. Please invite others, share your pics, experiences and knowledge. All interested in target shooting, roving (stump shooting) hunting and the survival use of Slingbows are welcome!!

My “Tatanka” (larger size Lever Bow) feels and performs closest to a traditional longbow or recurve than anything else on the market or anything else ever designed. It also has some unique benefits. You don’t need a wrist brace or a leather arm brace, and in fact arm placement is simple, just get everything in a line with the arrow which eliminates any torque on the bow. You don’t need any archery glove or finger tab because the release is built in. Aiming is simple because there is no visual hindrance over the arrow. You have a direct line of sight along the shaft and over the arrow tip which makes Hill style “split vision”, gap shooting and even pure instinctive shooting easier. The quick change band slots allows for easier band changes or just to quickly remove and store the band assembly in a ziplock bag between shooting sessions to further increase the life of the power bands.

Rubber has more uses than shooting, I use strips for the perfect clamping system! Quite a bit of work here to make a strong glue-up that no one sees. Internal positioning pins, crosshatching of all surfaces and good glue makes for stable strong permanent grips. 😉 Dries overnight and then final shape grinding, stain then spray finish.
