Lending a helping hand ❤️
Back in 2015 while I was nursing school, I noticed a major change in my skin and began suffering from frequent and painful cyst like breakouts on my upper body. I never dealt with this type of acne before—it was stubborn, painful, and unresponsive to conventional otc/prescription treatments, I was stumped. I chalked it up to the stress of school/clinical and maybe my laundry detergent (which was one). After a year with no relief, I knew deep down this wasn’t just “acne” and that my body was reacting to something. I finally took matters into my own hands, used my nursing knowledge, became my own advocate and started researching.
One of my many culprits: hand/body soaps! I threw out everything I had, started trying new clean/non-toxic products, and utilized a more natural approach to eliminating this acne. After a few months of trial and error, I was able to get rid of this acne FOR GOOD, but one key aspect of that was using products that weren’t going to cause inflammation/skin reactions. I discovered what brands/products I could use safely, but I could never find that perfect ingredient list that met all my needs in a soap. So with everything I learned after all these years, I started developing my own soaps and body products and began using those instead. I started sharing my new recipes with friends and family and I decided to see how it goes at our first two sales. I had to tweak a few things, and developed a few more items, but now I’m super excited to share them with you guys again this year at our Pop-Up at Blake’s Holiday Extravaganza next weekend! ❤️
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk
