Antique Paden City "Cheriglo" pink hand etched elegant glass vase with woodland hunt scene depicting dogs and elk. Lots of wonderful detail throughout and a rare collectors piece.

Paden City made Black Forest in the 1920's & 30's.

Elegant glass is high quality glassware created in the United States during the Depression Era. It was sold for high prices in department stores and given as wedding gifts. When new, Elegant glass would cost more than its oft-confused counterpart, Depression glass, because it was at least partially handmade, had a cleaner finish, and more vibrant colors.

Set of 10 porcelain soup bowls by Royal Bavarian for the luxury store Ovington Brothers.

This pattern was most likely custom ordered for their store with 24 karat gold encrusted swag and eagle motif.
•
Ovington Brothers changed to Ovington's in 1920, so these bowls predate the 1920's due to marking.
•
Ovington's was an infamous place to purchase some of the highest quality of fine China. Many pieces were made exclusively for them and did bear their name. The store, Ovington Brothers, started in the late 1800's.
•
These bowls look to have never been used/rarely used. They are in excellent condition.
