Have you ever seen a sink made out of a stone slab? Here are a few that we’ve made over the past month or so.. Making sinks properly requires an experienced fabricator. That said, no one has been fabricating in central VA longer than Empire!

Soft marbles like this Honed Namibian White are among the most beautiful stones in the world.
Many fabricators will discourage homeowners from buying soft marbles, but not Empire. We prefer to educate our clients on the various finishes and any care and maintenance requirements. We are stone experts and can help you decide what’s right for you !

Next up in our employee spotlight series is Spencer Kline! Spencer joined our team in August of last year and is proving himself to be a valuable asset. He’s learned to finish edges and now frequently helps with installations. He is dedicated, pleasant and a perfectionist 👌
His hobbies include spending time with his girlfriend, fishing, kayaking and camping. Fun facts ; he designs and builds scale railroad layouts, has several exotic lizards🦎, and loves fried chicken😋We’re so glad Spencer is on our team !

Meet Memphis! Memphis is one of our newer employees who’s been with us since December of 2024. He has been working in our shop, and as an installer. He is driven and extremely reliable. He’s also young, big, and strong which are valuable assets when working with these heavy tops!😄💪 In his free time he likes to forge, shoot, and build random things. He spends quality time with his family and friends. We are very glad that he decided to join our Empire family and lucky to have him!

Empire doesn’t just cut marble and granite slabs. We’re certified to fabricate and install all types of quartz and porcelain products as well. Vetrostone is a one-of-a-kind engineered material composed of 60% repurposed and 40% natural resources. This non porous slab was made in the wetlands of South Carolina with real oyster shells!

Unloading lots of gorgeous materials as usual. This week we wanted to highlight this classic Montclair Danby Honed Marble, quarried in Vermont. It is a little harder than most white marbles and therefore more resistant to etching. Who wouldn’t want to see this everyday in their house?

Our clients are choosing such a variety of gorgeous materials, as usual. Another example is this honed Bianca Lasa Vena Oro marble, which we recently fabricated and installed in this scullery. It’s always a treat for us to be involved in these amazing projects !
