Realtors. Want to know the difference between HDR and flash?

This is probably one of the best explainations of flash/ambient vs HDR. Yes HDR is faster to capture and edit. However, the loss of quality and the lack of control of somethings such as reflections, and color and true tone is something that always struck me as being needed.

So here is the thing I started out shooting HDR when I first started this company with a drone, camera and a tripod. It was quick on site, relatively easy editing, and required far less equipment. But it always lacked something, even on the higher end homes with clean colors and pristine layouts. Something just felt off.

So I started researching the best ways to do residential real estate for the best overall quality. Flash, kept coming up. Even blending Flash into HDR for window pulls and one pop flashes for color accuracy to blend into HDR was coming up.

Some places charge more for higher end packages to include flash, some place chose to spend more on higher end edits for their HDR "high end sessions"

WE use the same exact process for every single home. We charge the same things for every home because we charge by size and not the "luxury" of the home or to fit the price tag of the home.

Each photographer does their own thing, this is ours.
