In April, the council enacted two ordinances aimed at addressing safety concerns and parking restrictions at the four-way intersection of Market and Main Streets. One ordinance designates automatic tow-away zones, thereby prohibiting parking in the already restricted yellow-curbed area, and authorizes vehicles to be towed by tow companies in the absence of a law enforcement officer. The second ordinance establishes temporary parking zones for the purpose of dropping off and picking up individuals. These ordinances will be enforced once the requisite signage is installed; until then, the yellow curb remains a no-parking zone, and citations may be issued.

Due to traffic complaints on Locust St., the Red Bud Police Department conducted a traffic survey. The last survey was based on southbound traffic. The results of the northbound traffic are below.
