Here's a fun quiz for a Saturday.
Mrs. P needs a new sofa. Which one should she choose? Moody Blue, or Luxe Linen (like). Both are performance fabrics. One is by Sherrill Furniture Brands and the other by Century Furniture meaning they have hardwood frames, are eight-way handtied and were handcrafted by artisans in North Carolina.

Seriously, do I have the best job in the whole world? Roaming around the peninsula visiting clients, I get to enjoy our two rivers inside and out. Today we are on the lower Shrewsbury.

Our Chesterfield sofa by Hickory White may be 8 years old but I think it looks and feels as good as new. If you buy something that is well made once, you do not have to do it again any time soon. Opt for a classic shape and a neutral palate and swap out your accessories and pillows when you feel
you need a bit of a change.

About six years ago Keith and I took a road trip to Delaware to deliver this stunning antique English pine hutch. Often referred to as Welsh dressers they are perfect additions to the modern kitchen. Happy to report it is back in New Jersey. noplacelikehome

Take a look at my https://britishcottageblog.com/ to see us featured in a Two Rivers Times story on how to freshen up your home for fall.

So some of you are probably asking yourselves, "Now that summer is almost over, how am I ever going to get my house together this fall?"
Well the good news is traditional style is experiencing a massive comeback--although I could argue it never really vanished--just laid low for a while.
But this is not replicating your grandmother's forbidding, formally attired rooms; comfort reigns, with overstuffed sofas and armchairs.
Character comes from rich woodwork and architectural details. And the greige era may be officially retired while deeper, saturated hues like burgundy, olive green and chocolate brown look fresh and appealing.

Love this client and love maximalism! So tired of looking at big black televisions stuck to big bare walls.
