It’s been a beat since I posted something to sale and I’m thrilled that this is how I break that hiatus. This gorgeous antique has been given a complete overhaul and painted in a custom-mixed dusty rose color, and those beautiful details were kissed with gold. The hardware is original, shined up to glow like new. This piece also comes with or without the mirror, another beautiful antique!

Couldn’t contain this to a square picture shape! Tall and dated, this was a collaborative transformation. The client constructed a new molding to sit on top and move away from that rounded shape and I love how much that alone changed this entire look! The built-in handles were also removed to make way for freshly drilled holes and replacement pulls. This piece relied heavily on the prep stage; affixing the molding to the top, replacing the hardware (with significantly more effort than simply drilling new holes) and a whole lot of patching and primer. But once that was all done it was time to paint! I used Benjamin Moore’s Dash of Pepper, one of those adaptable colors that has some chameleon qualities to suit the space it’s in. This is one of those especially cool before and afters so be sure to swipe!

This nightstand was a fighter! From filling those huge hardware holes to covering up all that black, I really wrestled this into submission. But now look! She’s so pink and happy!

This is actually perfect as we near Marathon Monday here in Massachusetts and this client tackles the Boston Marathon, sure to be hard earned but such a happy reward!

I love this cedar chest!! An antique with a story, requiring a ton of restoration sweat and effort, that came back to life as though being set free, and finding the perfect home… a dream. I wish you could have been in my cedar scented workshop to get the full ambiance! I began by removing that old, warped, moldy veneer from the front and sides and, lying just underneath, revealed the other side of this gorgeous cedar wood. Everything was cleaned and cared for, sanded and restored, then ready for a bit of paint. We decided on an ivory wash, which I think suits its new stage of life wonderfully! This one tugged on my heartstrings, I love these kinds of projects!
