Baked up four pans of apple crisp with granola topping last night. Headed to Lebanon N.H. Coop today to pass out samples of the crisp and I have a couple hundred sample bags of granola for people to take home. Come by and visit!

Here is the update to the story about my friend who took Quaker Hill Granola along on her camping trip. The first photo she sent of a racoon eating granola was just a ruse. A few days later she had time to tell me the story: She had milk and granola stored in her cooler at the campsite. In the middle of the night she heard an animal knocking things around. Next morning the whole cooler--with the granola inside--was gone. She looked but could not locate it.
Last night I was at a neighborhood dinner and the local Fish and Wildlife Warden was there. I ran the story by him and he feels sure it was a bear after the granola. He reports they can smell food even inside a cooler and it is common that they will remove a container to a more private or secure place before they break into it.

My friend Janet left yesterday for a 24 hour canoeing/camping trip here in Vermont. She told me she was taking along Quaker Hill Granola for her breakfast. "Oh, take a picture and I'll post it on Facebook" I said. Here's the picture she sent me. I'll hear the full story when I visit with her Thursday. At least the racoon was cute.

Here in Vermont we are watching leaves appear on the trees and raking out the flower beds. But it's still snowing in Colorado. Quaker Hill Granola was there this past Friday.

My son Ethan is working in Park City, Utah. Early Friday ( 4/28/17) he drove 8 hours through the night to get to Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Colorado for the opening run. He reported "Great skiing", then stashed his skiis in the snow, posed his helmet, ski glove and a bag of Quaker Hill Granola and shot this picture with the mountains in the distance.

After some coffee he was back in the car, driving two more hours East to Denver for a reunion with six Vermont friends. We can assume there was some Quaker Hill Granola being eaten in Denver this weekend.

Quaker Hill Granola celebrates Earth Day at Whole Foods in Hyannis, MA. Thanks to Nancy Chavenson at that store who helped get samples of Quaker Hill Granola to customers on Earth Day. Quaker Hill Granola is available in the bulk department of several Whole Foods stores in Massachusetts. When you buy in bulk, your dollars buy FOOD not PACKAGING!

Heading to Burlington this morning for a demo of Quaker Hill Granola at City Market. I'll be passing out sample packets of both flavors. I also have fresh baked samples of Morning Glory muffins with granola in the recipe. Take home the recipe and make muffins this weekend. Or at least stop by City Market and wave to me today. I'll be there 11-2.

Quaker Hill Granola went skiing in Brighton, Utah today. 12 feet of snow at the summit there. Maybe I should stop complaining about the snow that remains here in Vermont at the end of March.
