It's been awhile since I've posted anything but I really wanted to share these frames.
From the Ashes, two powerful pieces by , that I recently had the privilege to frame. For these, I wanted the presentation to echo the artworks story of renewal and strength. The top mat has the texture and tone of burnt wood, a nod to the fire and destruction that often precede growth. Beneath it, a deep purple mat brings both richness and depth - a hidden layer of color symbolizing resilience.
The frame itself is handcrafted from spalted maple, its striking patterns formed naturally over time, much like beauty, emerging from hardship. I finished it with museum glass so every detail of the art remains crystal clear and protected. Framing isn't just about the surrounding art, it's about creating a setting that enhances the story it tells.
