One of our favorite parts of this project was creating a piece that supports something else so beautifully.

This custom solid Ash console was created for the entry of a home designed and curated by the incredible Vern Yip, framing breathtaking works by Bastian Woudt. We love creating furniture that knows when to step back - allowing great art to take center stage while giving it a sense of permanence and place.

Commissioned as part of a larger collection of custom furnishings for the home, every piece shares the same design language. Sculptural forms, clean lines, and custom chrome and brushed brass details - designed and fabricated here in our Iowa workshop - bring a refined contrast to our signature hand-applied Claize finish.

The materials don’t compete, they elevate one another.

This console is just one chapter in a home designed to feel connected from room to room. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share the dining table, credenza, sideboard, and nightstands that complete the story.

We’re incredibly grateful to Vern for trusting us with such a special project and to Traditional Home for featuring this home in its Fall 2026 issue. It’s an honor to see the work of so many talented makers, artists, and designers celebrated together.
