It's that time of year. You'd think since retiring from teaching (again) I would have this taken care of by now.... Anyway, I will be sending this information to my customer list so you can respond with any of your year end needs or summer maintenance requests. Have a great rest of your school year!
Dear past, present and future BPservices customers,
I can’t say that I actually missed teaching this year, but I did miss the routine of being employed, even just part-time. I have subbed just enough to satisfy my teaching fix, turned down a few opportunities here and there but not too many. I have really enjoyed subbing for area shop teachers and helping students with their projects. I did complete some equipment maintenance work late into the fall and a couple over the Winter and sold a couple more SawStop table saws.
Spring time is when administrators start asking for purchase requests for the Summer and next school year so I’m trying to get this typed up and emailed to all of you who are eager to finish up your purchase requests.
Zach remains a very busy Collegiate Educator and family man but will continue to help me when he is able. While it isn’t necessary for me to “show him the ropes” I will at some point in the future be turning over the service aspect of BPservices and assisting him when needed. I plan to continue selling equipment, saw blades, etc. but would like to slow down a little bit and enjoy being semi-retired and a grandparent.
This summer and later this Fall I have a couple family trips planned and will need to try scheduling service work and delivery and/or set-up of any new equipment around these events. I would also like to try scheduling schools that have climate controlled shops for the hottest part of the summer if at all possible. If the weather this Spring is any indication of weather patterns for the Summer months, I may as well flip a coin as to where I’m going and when….. If your equipment service can wait for early Fall or later, I can take care of it on a day that you might have professional development and give you an excuse to slip away from a meeting to let the “equipment service guy” into the shop…. You’re welcome!
I remain an Oliver and SawStop dealer if you are considering a new piece of equipment. I am now a Safety Speed panel equipment dealer as well. I will continue to upgrade some models of planers and most jointers with Byrd helical cutter heads and will be happy to provide quotes at your request. If you are in need of quality saw blades, I am an Everlast and Ridge Carbide dealer and can help you with your saw blade needs as well.
