We received a lovely review on Houzz from one of our customers, Paula, and wanted to share it.

“Wonderful service starting with an education from Tom, of the sales staff, on the different types of gas fireplaces.”

Paula went on to recognize Matt and James for their work on the installation.

It's awfully nice to see our team recognized by name. We know choosing a fireplace can involve a lot of decisions, and we're glad we could help make the process easier.

Thank you, Paula, for taking the time to share your experience!

We're awfully proud of the fireplaces we sell and install, but we're even prouder of the people who make Fairview what it is.

From the first phone call to helping you select the right fireplace, coordinating installation and answering questions years down the road, our team takes customer service seriously.

We're a family-owned business that's been here since 1929, and we know how much it means when someone trusts us with their home.

So, a little appreciation for the people behind the scenes who keep this place running. We couldn't do it without them.

Thank you!

We love seeing what architects and designers are doing with fireplaces in new construction.

Take the three-sided fireplaces from Flare, for example. Instead of being tucked into a traditional fireplace wall, the glass wraps around the sides, giving you a beautiful view of the flames from different parts of the room.

For contemporary homes with open floor plans, it's an interesting way to incorporate a fireplace without closing off the space.

Building in Westchester, the Hudson Valley, or Connecticut? Bring us your plans. We'd love to see what you're working on.

It's officially fireplace weather here in the Hudson Valley!

And while we love seeing the fall colors around Rhinebeck, New Paltz, and the Catskills, we know those chilly evenings are bringing everyone back inside.

If you've been thinking about replacing an older fireplace, or finally getting that gas insert you've had your eye on, come visit us in Poughkeepsie.

We've been helping our neighbors find the right fireplaces for nearly 100 years. We'd love to help you, too.

Coming to the showroom to talk about a fireplace surround?
Bring pictures.

Seriously. Take a photo of the whole wall, not just the fireplace. If you have measurements, bring those too. Paint colors, flooring, cabinet samples, inspiration photos, and we'll look at all of it.

The more we know about the room, the easier it is to help you figure out what will work.

And don't worry if you don't have everything figured out yet. That's what we're here for.

We carry a lot of fireplace brands.

There's a reason.

The fireplace we'd recommend for a new contemporary home in the Catskills probably isn't the same one we'd put in a traditional home in Westchester. Add commercial projects, renovations, outdoor spaces and historic homes to the mix, and you need options.

That's why we work with manufacturers like Heat & Glo, DaVinci, Flare, SÓLAS, Majestic, Napoleon, Heatilator, Isokern and Camina Schmid.

We're not tied to one answer.

We're here to help find the right one for the project.

Not every new home needs a linear fireplace.

We still put plenty of traditional fireplaces into beautiful new homes throughout the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.

The difference is in the details. A larger viewing area, better proportions, updated controls and a surround that works with the architecture can make a traditional fireplace feel completely at home in a new build.

The Majestic Meridian is a great example.

Classic doesn't have to mean dated.

That first cool Hudson Valley night has a way of reminding everyone about their fireplace.

If yours hasn't been turned on since spring, now's the time to give it a try. Make sure everything is working the way it should before the cold weather really gets here.

And if you're building or renovating? Don't wait for fireplace season to start planning.

We're here in Poughkeepsie for both.

Beacon has changed a lot over the years, and it's been pretty incredible watching what's happening there.

Did you know?

We supplied the fireplaces for the new Mirbeau Inn & Spa Beacon, just across the river from our home base in Poughkeepsie.

Residential or commercial, the job is really pretty similar on our end: figure out what the space needs, get the details right, and make sure the fireplace feels like it belongs there.

We're awfully proud to have our work inside this one.

Not every fireplace project around here is going into a huge new build.

We work on plenty of smaller homes, apartments and renovations where every square foot matters.

That's where a fireplace like the SÓLAS TWENTY6 gets interesting. It's wall-mounted, direct vent and doesn't need a massive fireplace wall built around it.

A lot of fireplace design comes down to working with the house you've actually got.

And around the Hudson Valley, we've got just about every kind.
