And while we are on the subject about breathing new color into older builds, check these benches out, We built 8 years ago... Completely made out of live edge eastern cedar. It was time for these to be brought back to life... Weather had taken it's toll on them but they are still sturdy as ever... 😬 Some of you may have even sat on them and told stories through the years.. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ I may have ..πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚

We're still here, just been crazy lately between doctors appointments and all different kinds of shop work. 😳

This set of cedar Adirondacks chairs we built about 5 years ago, were brought back to us to sand and breathe new life back into them. Then we resealed them with an outdoor polyurethane. Hopefully they keep there beautiful color for more years to come! Thanks to our repeat customers!❀️

A pair of barnwood octagon deer pedestal mounts.. one using dirty top pine circular sawn barnwood, the other using circular sawn grayed out oak barnwood. Both with top recessed for the deer mounts!
They really turned out nice for antique lumber! ❀️❀️

A customed sized oak receptionist desk! The oak project we been teasing about!! ❀️

This was truly a beautiful piece we got to build, and we are excited to share it with you all!!
Thank you to Belgrade State Bank for the trust and opportunity to help you with this custom piece! We rarely get to show off our craftsmanship with these types of builds and finer pieces of furniture!
Receptionist desk, made of solid oak, built on 2 -22.5° degree angles to create a piece with a 45° top, with the desk part having an extended riser. Has 3 drawers on the desk section, with plenty of room. Also wiring ports installed, with an outlet, a c-type charger, and a USB port made into the top. The front of the desk is completed, with fluting, onlays, rosettes and trims. The Belgrade State Bank's signature "Owl" was an idea of my CEO's to incorporate it into the desk, and she made it happen with the help of Jeff Melton, of Melton Tee's in Potosi on his CNC laser machine. Turned out awesome!! 😲 Then the entire desk was stained golden oak, and cleared in a matte clear sealer!
Once again, Thank you to Belgrade State Bank for the opportunity to build this piece, and I would implore anyone, if your looking for a hometown bank, check them out! "It's a wise place to do business!" πŸ˜‰

Ok, I know I said I would post the oak build I was working on, but I wanted to squeeze this beautiful project in first!! 😳😬

You all remember some of that circular sawn barn wood I was cleaning and de-nailing here while back?? Well here it is....
A couple of beautiful cabinets made from antique dirty top knotty pine, that came from a 100 year old plus barn right here in Washington County, off a century farm!!

Thanks to Chris and Denise Reed for the opportunity to build some amazing pieces with your families lumber!!
Completely made from reclaimed antique dirty top pine boards, with all the trims, and finished off with black hardware!! ❀️ They turned out amazing!!! Thank you for the opportunity to make part of your family farm's barn into some furniture that can be treasured for more generations to come!! 😍

Have you ever paid attention to circular sawn barn lumber? It was created many years ago using a circular sawmill with a big round saw blade making those beautiful circular sawn marks!! Not many today left in operation, most are historical pieces for display or learning.

With that said, I've spent the better part of the last few days de-nailing the old circular sawn coop/shed lumber, and some lumber from a barn on a century farm here in Potosi... All of it is circular sawn and alot of it is over a hundred years old! Impressive to say the least!!

Our next few projects will be circular sawn barn lumber pieces.. can't wait to start them!! Once we get things finalized with our last build, a complete oak piece that turned out amazing, we will post it!! Can't wait to show it off!!

Ok, have a great day, and the next time your out and about on an old farm or around some antique lumber, check for those circular marks!! Those band saws of today cannot create it, and it can not be truly replicated unless it's with that type of mill!!

Let's not forget the reason for this holiday! Happy Easter and God Bless!! πŸ™

Did I mention here while back, that we took on a side job of tearing down a very old, very large chicken coop/outbuilding! It was made with beautiful circular sawn rough cut oak, many many years ago. We were able to salvage some of it, but sadly also, a lot was destroyed by rot and termites. But we did reclaim enough to make some beautiful barnwood furniture in the future. Just got to get it denailed, brushed, cleaned up and treated for pest.. can't wait!! ❀️

Right now though, we are in the middle of one of the most gorgeous oak builds we have ever done!! 😬 It is very large, and I can't wait to finish it, and to show it off!!

As I mentioned before, we are NOT currently accepting orders, as we are blessed with the amount of orders we currently have, and hope to catch up in the next 4-6 weeks. Alot of bigger builds, and we are excited to share as we get them completed!!

Stay with us, take care, and Happy Easter 🐰🐣!!

Live edge Missouri eastern cedar bar table!!
Made this for a friend recently, and I'm just now getting around to posting it.
Made with a live edge 3" thick cedar slab, and we built tressel style center point legs, using 4x4 cedar beams. Coated the entire bar/table with 3 coats of polyurethane, and then added a lower foot rest, made out of ¾" black iron pipe and painted them gloss black. Really like how this turned out!! ❀️

We are slammed, and are not accepting any orders currently. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we just gotta catch back up! It also didn't help that I might of got myself into another job reclaiming some circular sawn oak barnwood from tearing down a very old large chicken coop/outbuilding! Lumber for future projects!! πŸ€”πŸ˜¬πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

We know we haven't posted in a little bit, but trust us, we have been busy!
Here's a little project we did for someone we never got to post.

1972 Ford F600 hood awning to go over his shop man door! He brought us an ford old hood, and wanted us to make a frame to attach the hood to his shop. Usually I would do this with metal and fabricate and weld a frame, but since I had the pacemaker installed 4 months ago, they tell me I can't weld anymore, for now, I'll listen.. πŸ€”πŸ˜¬
The frame we made and cut out to fit using treated lumber, cut the back of the hood off straight to make a solid join, and apparently it was an old firetruck hood, so the CEO re painted and distressed the letters and numbers that was clearly there under the white paint to match the patina!! Cool little project, that made me think outside of the box! Thanks for the opportunity!!
