WE SUPPORT THE TIMBER INDUSTRY!!! Nearly every day when I travel hiway 95, I spot a steady stream of these (fully loaded log trucks). Photo is from 7/29/26.
Way to go Idaho!
Our Panhandle National Forest is SO OVERGROWN, as is many western states' forests, creating an ecological disaster when a single spark starts an inferno.
How do I know our local forests are OVERGROWN? Because we spend a lot of time hiking through them (from the Fernan Ranger station to the Canadian border). For 40-years my wife and I have been doing this. . .firewood, Christmas trees, huckleberry picking, camping, searching out waterfalls, photography, and just for the general enjoyment of them!
Before our exploration together, Kim was a road builder for the Forest Service and I was a Forest Service Surveyor (but in totally different Idaho forests, nearly 50-years ago).
