New to our Portland Showroom: We are excited to have a set of Kyoto Dining Chairs made from locally harvested Western Walnut on display in our showroom. Each of these chairs is handcrafted by a single craftsperson and designed to be enjoyed for years to come. From the wedged tenon legs to the curved back panel, the details in craftsmanship reveal the artistry behind each of our designs.

Stop by our showroom to experience these first hand or visit our website to learn more. https://thejoinery.com/products/kyoto-dining-chair

The season of long tables is almost here.

As the evenings grow longer, we find ourselves lingering a little more: one more slice of pie, one more story, one more glass poured. Each of our dining tables is crafted from solid hardwoods and finished by hand, designed to be the steady center of every celebration to come.

Make room for everyone this year. Explore our extension dining table collection at our Pearl District showroom or online.

Shown here is our Studio Extension Table in Maple and in Eastern Walnut.

Join us this month to meet Dave Gutschmidt, a SW Washington bowl turner whose work begins with a single question: what does this piece of wood want to become?

Dave's bowls are shaped on the lathe one at a time, following the grain rather than fighting it. Each piece a little different, all of them unmistakably his. Like The Joinery, his craft is rooted in patience and a deep respect for natural material.

Each of our furniture pieces is handcrafted by a single builder. From lumber selection to joining each piece together, the craftsperson continues the process allowing their original vision to come to life.

Here Jon is clamping up Western Walnut pieces for a Miter-Wrap Coffee Table which features the natural live-edge.
