The first fun thing I made in the kitchen. For those of you who know me, you know I’ve been dreaming of it being functional. It’s the room I spend most of my time in. So these little rose ravioli (from ) were such a joy to make. They did take a bit of time, but it’s Valentine’s Day and I thought my boys would think it was fun.

Counters are ready to go! After a few set backs and some scary cuts, they are ready to serve in the kitchen.
Thanks so much to my husband’s father and uncle for helping move this thing back and forth and making the terrifying sink cutout. Seriously, we were sweating that one.

What a difference a day makes. I just wasn’t feeling the best after a day of things not going to plan, but then walking in the next morning and seeing the progress with fresh eyes really just renewed my spirit.

We got it in!!!!
My mom is such a champ. She drove up at just the right time to watch the boys and then helped me get this huge countertop fitted in. Thanks Mummah for all your help

These little trim snippers made adding extra moulding so much easier. They aren’t perfect, but man are they fast! A little caulk and you are good to go.

I would totally use this flooring again. I have no idea how it will wear (it’s supposed to be fairly bulletproof), but it was a dream to put down.

It’s the Lifeproof in Inverness Tarvertine from Home Depot in case you were curious.

Getting ready to lay the flooring in the kitchen. There was a low spot underneath the old cabinets so I had to cut boards to fit and make the floor level in that area.
And yes, I am wearing a dress 😂
