Next up! Special thanks to buddy .hulse.7 for this new challenge; a custom circular cutting board, designed specifically to snugly fit the oversized sink of their IBEX trailer. Turned out pretty friggin sweet 🧙🏼‍♂️

Includes a 3/8" juice groove, non-slip feet (for that countertop versatility) and a hand-burned Future Relic logo, surrounded by a 45° chamfered center edge and a 1.5" recessed under-lip that rests nicely around the sink.

Made from 6 species of wood, including NW Walnut, Black Walnut, Oregon Myrtle, Eastern Hard Maple, Big Leaf Maple and African Padauk.

Earlier this year, I decided my doggo deserved a fine-furniture upgrade. So, naturally, I went overboard and made him this bedside dog crate end-table, starting from 100% rough, unmilled walnut lumber. 🧙🏼‍♂️

All joinery is pressure-fit and countersunk using hand chiseled mortise & tenon joints, while featuring various pin striping and additional flair around the tabletop and legs. Also includes a side mounted power outlet, removable base for easy cleaning, surface flushed door magnets, a pearlescent purple epoxy knot-inlay on the tabletop, and after three grimy evenings with an angle-grinder, some smooth, smooth rebar bars.

Turns out that my dog now owns the nicest piece of furniture I have 😅🐶

I've long been past-due in sharing my recent projects and I aim to fix that now, starting with one of my absolute favorites. 🧙🏼‍♂️
Totaling 667 individual pieces spanning 5 species of wood, I've been calling this pattern of Brick Butcherblock the "Waterfall" which was made from a variety of Pacific Madrone, Eastern Hard Maple, NW Walnut, Oregon Myrtle and Purpleheart. Includes a 3/8" juice groove and my freehanded Woodburned logo on the back w/ the year of its birth.
Definitely one of the most labor intensive pieces I've made to date, and I'm not ashamed to say that it was worth it ✌🏽

Definietly one of the more complicated and challenging boards that I've ever designed, requiring the creation of a color-coded excel spreadsheet to keep track of the blueprints and cut counts. And that doesn't even account for the soul of the swamp hag that was required to complete the curse.

Made using NW Walnut, Oregon Myrtle, Purpleheart and Eastern Hard Maple starting from rough lumber, with a 45° chamfered underside and a juice groove up top.

These are two edge-grain cutting boards from some of the orders I fulfilled for Christmas, using a mix of 8-10 different species of imported and domestic woods. They be VIBRANT.

This year's Christmas tree has reached its final form 🎅☃️🌲

Measuring in at 18.5" x 31" x 1.75", this beefy boy is the biggest butcherblock I've ever made. Made 100% using end-grain Black Walnut, Eastern Hard Maple, Pacific Madrone, Oregon Myrtle and Purpleheart. Large enough to field-dress a goat and strong enough to withstand at least 3 apocalypses.

I originally designed this for the chef of a BBQ catering business in Texas, but the Pandy interrupted the order. Currently looking for a new home. 😉

I currently have over 30 pieces completed and available... and for those local to the Portland area, enough time left to create 4 last custom orders in time for the holidays.

With temperatures hitting 117° F today (seriously, what the crap), I decided that Brando needed a personal puppy shade structure to keep the sun off of his back and his paws off of the concrete in the back yard this summer.

Busted out this little buddy gazebo using some spare/repurposed lumber and scrap plywood with castle joints for the base and cross beam supports on the sides. A little paint, some water sealant, and a puppy bed and this little thing'll be all set!

Not bad for a quick day build. I think he likes it 🐶

I loved the pattern of the last few butcher blocks so much that I had to try out reversing it.

What do you think?

This one is made from hard maple, madrone walnut and red Padauk for the bricks, with walnut and a little bit of Padauk as the mortar.

Measuring in at 11.5" x 15" x 2" with a 3/8" juice groove and a 3/4" chamfered edge underneath to give it a floating look. 🧙🏼‍♂️

I think I've found my favorite combination! This brick board was originally made as a special birthday gift for , using black walnut, oregon myrtle, hard maple and purpleheart, and I loved it so much, I decided to make another 🧙🏼‍♂️

Measuring in at 2" x 11.5" x 19.5" and ready to chop all the stuff 🔪

Sporting a 3/8" juice groove, finished with food-grade mineral oil and sealed using locally sourced Pacific Northwest white beeswax.
