✨Meet Ryan McKuhen, Founder and Chief Agronomist of Extreme Green Landscape Solutions! ✨🌿

Ryan's journey in the Green Industry began when, at the age of 15, he elected to join the Academy of Turfgrass and Landscape Management at his high school in Martin County Florida.

During this 4 year high school program, he was introduced to golf course maintenance, irrigation systems, hydroponics and aquaponics, a form of fish- and plant-production using aquaculture and hydroponic systems.

He went on to later receive his college degrees in Turgrass Science & Business Management. After a successful collegiate baseball career, Ryan returned home to pursue his first passion, horticulture and turfgrass management,which was ignited during his high school years.

The wealth of knowledge Ryan had acquired by the age of 25, opened up opportunities in golf course management with a prestigious golf club on Jupiter Island Florida.
It was there that he developed a deep understanding of all aspects of turf health and maintenance.

His commitment and expertise quickly led him to the role of Golf Course Superintendent, allowing him to refine his skills in overseeing and optimizing turf conditions. This strong foundation in golf course turfgrass management has been instrumental in shaping his career and paving the way for his subsequent leadership roles.
While serving as Golf Course Superintendent, Ryan also moonlighted as an Adjunct Professor in the Golf Course Operations Program at his Alma mater, Indian River State College.

He then transitioned to the role of General Manager with a regional irrigation company specializing in golf, sports turf, and large irrigation projects. During this time, Ryan further developed his expertise in water management systems and their impact on landscaping. His journey continued into large estate management, where he oversaw the maintenance of expansive properties, ensuring that each landscape was both esthetically pleasing and sustainable.

Ryan's dedication to the industry eventually led him to the executive side as he became VP of the farming and logistics operations with a large sod farming organization. This position has given him an opportunity to deepen his knowledge of sod cultivation, business management and sales.

Today, as Founder of Extreme Green Landscape Solutions, Ryan leverages his diverse background and expertise to drive innovation and excellence in all aspects of the green industry.

From his roots in golf course management to his passion for growing lush landscapes, Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to this new endeavor.
