Well-trained employees are essential to the success of TCBA members, especially those that require workers in the skilled trades of carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and HVACR. TCBA is committed to helping members and the community, by meeting their workforce needs which is why our Skilled Trades Committee and Workforce Readiness Task Force are engaged with key community partners in Indian

River, St. Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee counties to equip workers with the
skills they need to succeed.

●Student Memberships that connect young people to TCBA, create awareness of training opportunities, and provide a database of future employees for TCBA members.
●Mentoring Program where TCBA members go into local schools and make presentations about how young people can pursue rewarding careers in the constriction trades.
●Future Builders of America Program sponsored by the Florida Home Builders Association presents a unique opportunity for local high school students to organize into chapters and engage with other students around the state in an annual Leadership Summit.
●Career Day where TCBA members connect with individuals who have developed their skills through various high school, technical college, and college training programs.
●Boot Camp held in conjunction with the St. Lucie County Schools to present intensive, specialized training to graduating high school seniors who have chosen the construction industry as their career path.
