ABOUT THE ROLE
A PLUS Fireplaces, Granite and Marble, Inc. is hiring one Fireplace Installation Technician to join our team in the Tampa Bay area. We are seeking the best available candidate — experienced installers are strongly preferred, but we are equally open to bringing on the right motivated individual as a trainee and investing in their development.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, service, and finishing of pre-fabricated gas and wood-burning fireplace systems in both new construction and remodeling residential settings. You will work directly with customers and take pride in delivering a clean, safe, and high-quality installation every time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Install pre-fabricated gas and wood-burning fireplace units according to manufacturer specs and local code requirements
• Connect and properly route venting systems for safe and code-compliant operation
• Perform work on rooftops of one- and two-story homes, including steeper-pitch roof sections, for venting termination and cap installation
• Perform pre-installation site assessments and communicate scope to customers
• Complete finish work including trim, surrounds, and hearth areas to a professional standard
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in the field
• Document completed jobs and communicate status back to dispatch
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle
WHICH CANDIDATE ARE YOU?
--- PREFERRED:
Experienced Technician — Fireplace Installer ---
• Prior hands-on experience installing pre-fab gas or wood-burning fireplaces
• Able to work independently from manufacturer specs and code requirements
• Experience with venting system installation and routing
• NFI certification (Gas, Wood, or Pellet) is a plus
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience + performance bonus

Installer Trainee ---
• Related trade background helpful — HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or construction
• Willingness to learn and follow direction from a lead technician
• Motivated, dependable, and eager to build a career in the trade
Pay: Starting hourly rate with a defined path to advancement
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working at heights on one- and two-story rooftops, including steep-pitch sections
• Strong attention to detail and a customer-first attitude
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
