Hello All !!!!

Just wanted to reach out to everyone and give an update on the Hueneme Show and Shine.

Last year due to COVID we cancelled our event, fast forward just over a year and everything is starting to open back up. We are currently working with the City of Port Hueneme and looking for a date to hold our next event!

We are planning on making this the biggest event yet a lot of things in the works, this year will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies all trophies are the Handmade Paddles we are known for just smaller for 2nd and 3rd place!

Our goal from the start was never to be a “military” event but to give back to the City of Port Hueneme and bring life back to the beach area and support the local community who has always supported the Seabees. With that, the Hueneme Police and Hueneme Explorers are having a car show on June 27th and we wish them the best!

Some friends of mine changed their cruise route to go past the base if you want to share the info. Last cruise had about 250 cars cruising. You’ll see on the map what time they hit Ventura road and should be near the base. The cruise is this Saturday June 6th.

We regret to inform you that due to the precautionary measures the city, county and others around us are doing due to COVID-19, we will have to postpone the show this year. We hope to have a new date soon and look forward to continuing our annual car show tradition. Stay safe.

The health and safety of all attendees, their family, our community and crew will always be top priority!

Labor Day weekend is almost here! If you don’t have plans this is always a great weekend. Great events starting with Friday nights Kickoff Party downtown Ventura at the Majestic Theatre, the Ventura Nationals Show all day Saturday with an awesome lineup on stage, and Sunday is the Gathering at Noble Fab... Don’t forget this years give away car $20 bucks and you could drive that Elco home!

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN PORT HUENEME - SAVE THE DATE

The Port Hueneme Police Department and the City of Port Hueneme will be hosting National Night Out – Fiesta Style - in our City on Tuesday, August 6th between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Orvene Carpenter Community Center located at 550 Park Avenue and will include FREE FOOD, LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, GAMES, GIVEAWAYS, AND INFORMATIONAL BOOTHS. Activities also include a bounce house slide, climbing wall, and Child ID fingerprinting. Come out and get to know your neighbors.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
