Conveniently located thirty minutes Northeast of Manhattan in Port Chester, New York, Carolyn Dempsey Design resides in a one hundred year old loft directly across from the historic Lifesaver Building. Our facility offers over five thousand square feet of showroom, conference, meeting and staff offices. In addition, our production space includes a floral design studio, lighting department, carpent

ry workshop, electrical shop, custom cut and sew department along with prop storage. The space along with a vast collection of unique décor elements inspires our team to create distinctive events ranging from sleek modern environments to globally rich cultural designs on a daily basis. In summer 2011, Carolyn Dempsey Design acquired additional space in Stamford, CT adjacent to The Loading Dock venue. This new space holds offices, showroom, production and prop storage. It also has forged a strong working partnership with The Loading Dock Venue and On the Marc Caterers. This growth will now allow the company to have dual locations that serve both their New York and Connecticut clientele with ease and convenience. As an award winning design firm and trendsetter in our industry, Carolyn Dempsey Design prides itself as one of the premier event companies in the tri-state area. With an International Special Event Gala Award in 2003, and nominations in 2004 and 2007, Carolyn Dempsey Design successfully produces magnificent weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, private affairs, corporate affairs and gala benefits. The firm has also partnered and works with a number of charitable organizations such as The Red Cross, Kids in Crisis, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and The United Way to name a few. The firm is on the preferred vendor list of several hotels, country clubs, private spaces and public venues. With the combined efforts of both our design and production staff, we offer endless possibilities to our discerning clientele.

Today marks 24 years since Carolyn Dempsey Design was born in a garage in Greenwich, Connecticut. Your love & loyalty led us through three office spaces, five warehouses, and three cities we called home.

As our brand has evolved through time and space, it felt overwhelmingly overdue for a facelift.

When thinking about our journey we noticed something.
It was one constant, everlasting feeling through it all:
MAGIC.

We know… the word feels mysterious and supernatural – but it’s not.

It’s quite simple, actually.

We’re so excited to announce our involvement as we present our work to the best in the event industry for A Day In The Life, an RSVP Mini-Symposium on Tuesday, September 4th. 🎤

RSVP is members-only community for the global luxury wedding and party industry. { } The top professionals will gather at the Rainbow Room in NYC to connect, learn, and indulge in some fun { } As a space we’ve dressed plenty times before, this time we’ll immerse guests in groovy 60’s vibe. 🌼

On Island Time 🏝️

Abi & Felicia celebrated their B’Not Mitzvah with a tropical floral-filled escape! Carolyn gave this beach theme jaw-dropping elegance. At the entrance, guests were greeted by their gold starfish es**rt cards, followed by a seaside cocktail at the grand “Sand Bar”. A unique contrast of coastal elements and florals dressed the dining tables, complimented with a killer “ocean view”. Everything was set for a day in the sunshine to celebrate these beautiful birthday girls.

Peace Out ✌🏻

Sky blue to cobalt, Kate’s Bat Mitzvah design lived in every shade between. Blue florals, blue sofas, blue charger plates — you name it. Double dutch hand dyed tulips flooded the table tops while blue uplights and silver mirror custom built tables projected its rich tones to every angle of the room. Kate’s lounge featured a custom built rectangular arch to hover over her friends as they celebrated her. 💙

What better way to celebrate a 60th Anniversary than a 60’s throwback theme party!? Hippie hues consumed the room with funky florals, lava lamps, retro couches, glow coffee tables and a custom built VW Volkswagen bus. Guests danced into a different decade on a 3D LED Infinity Dance Floor to the vibes of a 60’s live band!🕺

Carolyn had the pleasure of designing an iconic New York wedding for the sweetest LA couple. Guastavino’s made for the perfect canvas with it’s timeless old-world charm and architecture, with floor to ceiling windows for the ultimate evening ambiance. All of their details were distinctly New York: classic, sophisticated & chic. Modern and pure white florals at every glance, from the statement chuppah to the stunning tableau designs. Safe to say Kaeleigh & Andy left with enough love for a lifetime… or two. 🖤

Pink Petal Dreams 🌸

Taylor’s Bat Mitzvah was passionate with PINK!
These custom tables go down in CDD history — clear lucite acrylic tables were filled to the brim with over 147,500 ombre pink petals. With such a beautiful display, Regina’s tableau decor was kept simple with clear glass candles at various heights to create the perfect ambient glow at night. Taylor’s friends loved the stadium seating for the montage views, and glowing cubes illuminated around the dance floor for party breaks!

Down the Rabbit Hole🌷

We’re all MAD about Hattie’s Alice in Wonderland inspired Bat Mitzvah at the Williamsburg Hotel. Carolyn created a complete garden oasis with cherry trees and romantic florals everywhere you look. Custom rose gold dining tables were dressed with textured vases and subtle themed accents. The focal point of the room was a boxwood and gold lattice bar front with cascading florals.
Guests sat in awe on our cozy velvet lounge. A true fairytale.
