This brings back memories of a first moved to Punta Gorda and lived on the corner of West Olympia, and McGregor. In the evening, in the distance, you could hear the train whistles blowing…. it was so relaxing and so peaceful….too bad time marches on.

We are up in Senoia, Georgia, and got blocked in traffic today. Had to share a memory.

This little vanity chair is so unique~!!

I never got a chance to post this chair, but it is very special and I would like to give you the little bit of history I know about it. This chair was brought into us to be recovered from St. Margaret Episcopal Church Sarasota, Florida. They wanted the original tartan for Saint Margaret used on the chair, so I had to do some research and found the fabric. When we started working on it, I noticed that the chair had dual metal wheels and learned that it's from the early 1800s. The top crown part of the chair came off, we tied all the springs, built a seat, all the way back up again, and brought the chair back to life. When the crown was placed back on the chair and the Bishop was sitting at it sat higher than the bishops mitre. I hope you enjoy scanning through the pictures of the progress of our work.

I can't find the before picture of the wind chair but this was the finished look~!!

The antique green chair was as you can see before, and I was so pretty completed with the blue~!!

This is so true and I can’t help but to raise my prices just to keep paying my rent. As the fabric prices go up my supply prices go up I have to raise my labor and the cost of fabrics. Some customers don’t understand and think I’m trying to rip them off. I tried to sell fabrics from the United States, but it’s difficult because several years ago five mills in United States shut down; so there is no production of fabric here.

Real cow hides used on the outside of the chairs and ultra leather on the insides. They looked awesome when completted~!!!

Had a very sweet lady come in and she needed to have some help with her car. We don’t do automotive upholstery but she has a bad back and the way she sits in her car, her seat was very uncomfortable for her. So we built her a booster seat made out of close cell foam so it would support her. This is what it look like on our table and I hope Terri Cisero will post one inside the car!
