Twisted Elm Woodworking by Nathan Saxe As a carpenter, I strive to bring out the beauty God gave us in wood and I love partaking in His creation as I add another dimension of creativity to His.

After many years of living in Europe, I have a deep seated passion for rustic old world woodworking. A close friend of mine in Southern Spain truly inspired me and as we came back last year, my artistic sense was calling out to build rustic furniture of some sort. Well, this is the outcome.

My current project is underway, I built this house a year or so ago and now am building their covered patio. I recently picked up the lumber that I had a local friend mill up for me and am passing on my appreciation of the rich smell of fresh milled Doug fir.

Stay tuned for construction posts as these heavy timbers go up.
