So this came in today, and look how huge it is. It was custom made and is a beautiful piece. If you are wondering what is in the back, it is winter scenery. Why you ask? It’s the backdrop for a full and I mean full case of Department 56 villages I bought with it! We will start working on pricing and getting them out very soon.

Hi everyone hope you all are having a good day. Wanted to put the address of the new shop out again so newcomers know where we are located and that we have opened. The address is 7330 George Washington Memorial Highway Suites M & N, Yorktown, Va 23692. Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5, Sunday, Noon-4 and we are closed on Monday.

Today’s grand opening was amazing. So good to see so many previous customers, friends and family and all the new people I met through the day. A little challenging at first when the credit card charges tried to ring up in “Andora” currency but with a little help from a few special people googling remedies we got it fixed and the rest of the day went flawlessly! Our neighboring shops enjoyed the traffic checking out their places as well. Can’t wait to to it again tomorrow! Thank you to everyone who took part in making the day a successful opening! All my vendors are awesome and I can’t wait to see their businesses grow with Islander Antiquities!

Moving in is still going on and booths are getting arranged. Everyone is getting excited and we have a couple of vendors who have never owned a booth so they are excited but a little nervous also. We have great people and a variety of merchandise so I’m sure we will have a little something for everyone!

Another vendor started moving in today so here is a little peek in her booth. I’m having my outside signs put in by Sign Central and I wasn’t going to put up door signs until I finalized the store hours. The store’s owner surprised me with just our name logo to put on the door before we open. She said the shop hours could always be added later. They look really nice and the new big signs will be up before we open! Thanks Dawn!
