*** RESTOCK ALERT ***
Yours truly V29. I’ve been on the hunt for unique uncommon Lenox for a long time, finally acquiring a pristine collection of various decorative yet functional pieces. Come on down and get 1st choice before they’re picked through. And for all the younger adults recently discovering our diverse assortment of old antique, vintage, recent and collectibles here’s a short history of Lenox fine porcelain:

Founded in Trenton New Jersey, in 1889 as the Ceramic Art Company, Lenox revolutionized the industry by proving American-made porcelain could rival European heirlooms.

It became the first American china used in the White House in 1918 and remains a major name in premium tableware today.Key

Milestones in Lenox History:

- 1889: Walter Scott Lenox and Jonathan Coxon founded the business with a vision to create ivory-tinted, eggshell-thin porcelain, initially branded as "American Belleek".

-1906: The company rebranded as Lenox Incorporated. Despite suffering from blindness and paralysis, Walter Scott Lenox continued to guide the company's artistic direction until his death in 1920.

-1918: First Lady Edith Wilson commissioned a 1,700-piece state dinner service, making Lenox the first American china company to grace the President's table.1920s–1950s: The brand expanded its offerings beyond decorative items to high-end, durable dinnerware. Its reputation led to custom commissions for embassies, governors, and international dignitaries.

-1989: Lenox china was showcased at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during an exhibit on American porcelain.

-2000s–Present: While the original Trenton plant closed decades ago and shifts occurred in manufacturing, Lenox continues to produce luxury dinnerware and gifts available through Lenox Corporation
