A Kalamazoo woman was referred to us and asked if we could refinish her table and chairs.

We provided a few samples of stain colors and she decided on General Finishes Brown Mahogany

We scraped off the old varnish, sanded the table, leaves, table base and chairs. Diane added a General Finishes Satin Topcoat to bring out the beautiful wood grain

An Otsego woman had this jewelry armoire and asked if we could make it look new and match the decor in her bedroom.

Following the clients preferences, Diane used Heirloom Cashmere All-in-one paint for this project. She cleaned up the hardware and made a couple of small cosmetic fixes to the doors and vacuumed the felt liner on top

Photos don’t do this hutch justice. This too was painted using Hairloom’s All-in-One Iron Gate paint and General Finishes Satin Topcoat so that it matched the previously posted photos of a buffet

Minor scratches and dings were fixed and on the inside of the hutch, Diane used Restore-a-Finish Mahogany on the inside of the cabinet as well to bring out the natural color

A repeat Plainwell client wanted her parents buffet updated. Doing some research on the Bridgeport Chair Co., we found this buffet was built between 1920’s-1930’s. We had to make a couple minor fixes before it could be painted.

To give it a modern look, Diane used Heirloom All-in-one Iron Gate (black) paint. She then used General Finishes Satin topcoat to protect and seal the paint. It turned out great!

This very old table was in dire need of refurbishing. The years of outdoor exposure turned the wood to a dull gray.

We sanded it down to bare wood and then re-stained it using General Finishes Gel Stain to make it look new again. This will be going back to the original owners later this week.

Not all projects are wood. A Kalamazoo couple had several metal stools they wanted cleaned up and repainted. After taking off the years of rust, Diane painted them with the paint they provided.

A Mattawan couple had this dresser and table they wanted updated. They wanted the dresser stained cherry and the table in walnut to match other furniture in their house.

We removed the old stain on both pieces, filled the small hole in the table and Diane used General Finishes Gel stain (Vintage Walnut) for the table while the client provided the Cherry stain for the dresser. They are replacing the handles on the dresser

Next project is a small hutch that we will have available should anyone want it. Picture will follow once completed. A young couple from Marne (originally from Shelbyville) wanted their young daughter’s bed refreshed. After removing 3 (different) coats of paint, Diane stained the bed using General Finishes Mahogany gel stain. She added General Finishes Satin top coat

One of the original wooden wheels was missing so we replaced all wheels for easy movement. This was a challenging project removing all the paint from the spindles and grooves on both the footboard and headboard but it turned out great
