This bedroom set from the late 1950’s had bee refinished 30 years ago. If you look closely at the before photos after I had removed the finish. It will reveal marks from a palm sander. Every piece was covered with marks from very possibly 60 grit. Hours were spent removing the damaged with a finishing grit. I managed to get the natural beauty of the maple back, finished out in satin. Thanks for taking a look, R Hendey

Complete restoration on this walnut fainting couch. The upholstery was removed revealing a very unsteady frame. Many areas needed to be replaced, due to countless reupholstering. Disassembled the frame replacing the damaged areas. Reinforcing the back with custom walnut brackets, including 1/2 inch oak dowels. All fill materials are replaced and upholstery completed by a professional and dear friend. Thank you R Hendey.

This unique library table is a handmade heirloom. The top had been separated and the joints miss shaped for sometime. After removing the old broken finish, and straightening the joints. So that when reassembled there is no gap. Solid American walnut, finished in satin sheen. Pleasure to be a part of the history, R Hendey

Quarter sawn oak is a timeless look in my opinion. This library table can last forever. The top was ready to be separated easily and jointed again. I disassembled the entire base and the drawer to be glued solid. An ink pen had left its mark in the rear corner, a scar if you will. These are beautiful pieces of furniture built to be cared for and live on. Thanks R Hendey

This mahogany buffet had a tiered finish. I reset all four legs and separated the gap in the mirror frame, to glue and clamp correctly. Interesting design of the drawer fronts and cabinet doors. Makes a classy piece of furniture, definitely worth the journey.

The natural beauty of burl walnut. Disassembled all drawers and replaced the damaged bottoms. Also replacing all six of the drawer guides, on each side of the cabinet. Furniture of this period was built with respect and craftsmanship, made to last 100’s of years. It’s an honor to keep them alive. Thanks R Hendey

Solid Quarter sawn red oak Barister. It’s a shame a lot of these got discarded. Makes for a show stopper in your office, study, or living room. There was some damage, an old finish and I reset the base solid. The natural beauty of what grows on the earth. Thanks

This Kimball Spinet had gone through some water damage due to a house fire. Basically had damage the finish and no damage to the body or sound board. Respectfully I removed the damaged finish and old emblems with it. Finish was complete with the correct emblems, being varnish transferred. It’s a gift to return these pieces to the owners. Natural walnut Kimball, Thanks R Hendey

Here’s a great example of how much more brilliant natural cherry is. Free of its old factory color. All of the transition in color was hidden behind a spray on color. Truly showcases the beauty in the grain with a superior satin clear finish.

This Quarter sawn oak buffet was rescued from an abandoned home. To be demolished and create parking lot space servicing a nearby hospital property. Looks to have been cut down possibly due to damaged castor sleeves. The top was rejoined and I reset the entire structure. It basically fell apart upon pick up. All the glass had been broken, with the exception of one panel. Restoration to natural red oak, satin sheen. What a unique buffet, definitely worthy of rescue. Thanks R Hendey.

This maple secretary suffered some damage in the shipping on its trip.I had replaced a portion of the base and reset the drawer slides. The crown molding across the top had also been damaged. This European secretary had been hand made in the family many years ago. It’s an honor to be chosen for this by the owner, and return it fully restored. Grateful to be part of this history.
